WORKSHOP INFO

Explore the potential of screenprinting beyond traditional methods to create printed images with different materials, processes and outcomes

Since 2006, thousands of participants have learned the process, possibilities and benefits of screenprinting (aka silkscreening or serigraphy) at Possible Worlds and through our collective Spins & Needles. We are frequently considered the leading educator in Ottawa-Gatineau for accessible screenprinting education.

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY

  • Knowledge of how to use the screen as a tool using different techniques, from handdrawing on the screen; working with textures, patterns, and effects; and playing with colour.

  • Your own small art prints on paper or fabric you've brought with you.

  • Knowledge of how to set up a temporary or permanent screenprinting space at home, studio, or other places so you can continue on your own.

  • List of where to purchase materials locally or online.

  • Check out the unique features of our workshop at Possible Worlds and stuff you can make. The possibilities are endless!

REQUIRED MATERIALS

  • Your own materials to print on: paper or fabric (e.g. t-shirts, tote bags)

  • All other materials will be provided

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Ideal for any level: beginners, those who want a refresher, those looking to put their artwork on t-shirts or on paper, creatives who would like to add a new skill to their current skill set, as well as Screenprinting 101 alumni who want to learn to print more than one colour.

Spots are limited to 6 people per workshop to ensure you personally learn the proper technique and your questions are answered.
