Workshop: Introduction to Ableton 101

Learn the basics of Ableton, a studio/music production software program that is industry standard, in this introductory workshop.

No previous experience with Ableton or Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) required. 

This 101 workshop will cover some of the essential components to using Ableton such as:

>Recording
>Using MIDI Instruments / soft synths
>Looping
>Editing
>Effects
>Mixing
And other tips!

Facilitated by Ottawa-based DJ Greg Reain, a multi year user of Ableton.

Optional: If you would like to get more hands-on, you may bring a computer (PC or Mac) with Ableton downloaded on it and ready to go. A free trial is available here: https://www.ableton.com/en/trial. We will also have a laptop loaded with the program to try it out. Please note WiFi is not currently available in the shop.
