WORKSHOP: SILKSCREENING 101 INTRODUCTORY - SOLD OUT

Since 2006, our hands-on Silkscreening 101 introduces participants to the process and possibilities of silkscreening with detailed images.

LENGTH: 4.5 hours (with 30 minute break) 
COST: $145 (all materials included; to print on fabric, please bring these items with you) 
FACILITATOR: Melanie Yugo of Spins & Needles/Possible Worlds
LOCATION: Possible Worlds (708G Somerset St. W., Chinatown, Ottawa) 
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY: > Knowledge to build your own screen > Basics of designing art for screens > Differences in inks, printing substrates, screen mesh and film work > Printing techniques > Small art prints or prints on fabric items you've brought with you > How to set up a print area at home or a studio > Checklist of materials and where to buy them

Spaces are limited per workshop (up to 4 participants) to ensure you personally get the technique right.

SILKSCREENING STARTER KIT: Take the screen you've built + a professional grade squeegee for $35.
