Possible Worlds presents the first of a series of professional development sessions throughout the year that cover the administrative, technology, and business side of being a creative professional.
Just in time for tax season, join Denise Hutchison, CPB, of Ottawa Bookkeeping Services in this introductory workshop on taxes for emerging artists, designers, illustrators and other creative professionals in Ottawa-Gatineau.
We’ll go through taxes from a creative’s point of view, from exploring and reporting the various sources of income for artists and creative professionals, highlighting tax credits and deductions that are unique to you, how to upkeep and organize your financials throughout the year, and making sure you’re starting off your creative endeavour on the right foot.
The goal for you to leave anxiety-free with a solid foundation of how to file and increase your understanding of how the tax system works.
Suitable for beginners who are unsure how to deal with their taxes (but also welcome to established creatives who need a refresher).
Reserve your spot via Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/taxes-101-for-creatives-tickets-33489825971. This inaugural session is pay what you want with limited space available.
