Possible Worlds presents a fun introductory group workshop to explore the basics of Ableton Live 11 and music production. Join Facilitator Christian Guzmán Ramos to learn about how to get started with Ableton Live 11, the roots of electronic music production, beat making techniques, audio basics and synthesis programming to then apply your new knowledge to your own productions.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Musicians, DJs, artists and creatives who want to learn about music production, audio and the equipment involved, or those wanting to learn a new skill to add to their music arsenal

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Christian Guzmán Ramos is a musician, educator and producer originally from Mexico City. He has performed on many stages and festivals around Mexico and Ottawa as well as Toronto and Montreal.

In 2012, Christian immigrated to Ottawa, where he works as an instructor and teaches private lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele, ensembles, audio, recording and electronic music production. He has participated in development programs for new artists with the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition, and he has received grants from the City of Ottawa for events and project development. Most recently, Christian was one of the instructor for the Computer Music program at Carleton University in Ottawa, where he is also continuing his studies in music composition.

He is administrator of the Ottawa Ableton user group (official), organizing community virtual and in-person events for music producers of all levels.

WORKSHOP FEE

PRICE: Sliding scale $75 to $95 + HST. To make this workshop as accessible as possible, we're offering different tiers of participation. The amount you choose to pay goes to our facilitators, materials and operating the space.

Spots are available on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be created once the spots are filled.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Limited to 5 people maximum per workshop. All participants must show proof of vaccination and ID at the shop entrance or they will not be permitted entry. No refunds will be given if a participant cannot show proof. Participants must remain masked during the workshop.
